Ukraine increased exports of agricultural products by 1.795 billion US dollars - Olga Trofimtseva

Key export commodity groups are cereals – 38.1% of the total agricultural exports, oil – 27.4% and oilseeds - 8.6%.

"The increase of agricultural exports by 1,795 billion US dollars is a wonderful result of the work of our exporters. One of the most popular goods among foreign customers is the Ukrainian oil  - a value added product and not just raw material. This is a significant impetus for further work in the direction of diversifying the country's exports and increasing the share of processed products in the structure of our agricultural trade," commented the official statistics the Deputy Minister of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine on European integration Olga Trofimtseva. 

According to the Deputy Minister, Asian countries (41.1%), the European Union (30%) and Africa (19.3%) remain key partners in the regional structure of Ukrainian exports. And the top 5 major countries-importers of Ukrainian agricultural products during the 5 months of the year included the following countries: India – 919.9 million US dollars, Egypt – 825.9 million US dollars, Spain – 459.6 million US dollars, Netherlands – 441.3 million US dollars, Turkey – 426.1 million US dollars.

Ten goods-leaders were: sunflower oil, corn, soy, sugar, meat and offal of poultry, barley, soybean oil, chocolate, honey, leguminous vegetables. In general, the exports of crop products increased by 1.646 billion US dollars and products of animal origin – by 458.7 million US dollars.
